ON LINE
Video [text and digital collages] – 31 minutes 42 seconds.
We say online when we are connecting to a network or communication system. This word became popular since the 90s with the significant increase in the flow of data through the internet. Based on the study of the horizon, 'On Line’ is a video that gives movement to an excerpt from the text titled ‘There is a voice that says, shut up. Shut up, all of you who standing at the edge of the abyss’ – Book-Performance, Chapter II, presented in 2018 in the city of São Paulo, Brazil. Slowly, what we see is a set of phrases side by side, moving from left to right. You will also see that sometimes, they are interrupted by an image, part of a series of digital collages recently produced with photos collected from Google, using the following search options: violence, police violence, black population, protests and demonstrations, racism, everyday racism, etc. Although the video has a pre-defined total time, it is shown in a loop with the aim of uniting the end to the beginning, in an uninterrupted and continuous action.
