MARIANELA OROZCO (Sancti Spíritus, Cuba, 1973) Multidisciplinary artist who lives and works in Havana. Her practice is centered around anthropological concerns, exploring relations between fragility and power, private and public, nature and civilization. Without detaching herself from the social and political context, she focuses on universal human contents: the passing of time, the uncertainty before the unknown, the circularity, the meaningless of the repetitive actions, the weight of the everyday… Her projects include photography, video, installation, performance and public intervention.
